Dr. Maristela Cibes-Silva

Dr. Maristela Cibes-Silva has been a physician for more than 30 years, serving the Lawton/Fort Sill community for most of her career. Her experience includes working for the Lawton Indian Hospital, Goodyear Family Medical Center and the VA Outpatient Clinic.

Her specialty is internal medicine, but her passion is caring for her patients. Even in her early childhood, Dr. Cibes dreamed of becoming a physician because of her natural desire to help others. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she attended medical school in the Dominican Republic, graduating in 1983 and completing her residency in internal medicine in 1988.

Dr  Steve Egwuonwu - croppedSteve Egwuonwu, MD, has earned board certification from the

American Board of Internal Medicine.  He completed his residency training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, TX.

Dr. Egwuonwu earned his medical degree from the University of Ibadan Medical School in Ibadan, Nigeria. For many years he served as a physician in the underserved areas of Nigeria.

He has special interest in treating patients with diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, high cholesterol, arthritis and rheumatologic diseases.

Dr._Jennifer_James_cropped_entryJennifer James, M.D. was born and raised in Southern California. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Diego State University and graduated from medical school at the American University of the Caribbean in 2008.

Following her residency at the OU Family Medicine Clinic she joined Southwestern Primary Care to continue providing excellent care to the citizens of Lawton.

Her passion is pediatric medicine, preventative medicine, wound care, and obesity management.

Dr Kristie MasonKristie Mason, MD, was born and raised in Lawton, OK. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Oklahoma in health and exercise science and graduated from medical school at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2010.

After completing her residency training at Southwest Oklahoma Family Residence program in Lawton, she joined Southwestern Primary Care, excited to continue providing medical care to the citizens of the region.

She has a special interest in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, nutrition and obesity, and pediatrics.

David Maury, M.D., has earned board certification from the American Board of Family Practice.  He has more than three decades of experience, and in addition to his family practice experience, Dr. Maury has also worked as an Emergency Room Physician.  He also has training and experience in treating allergies.

He completed his undergraduate degree at Fayetteville State University and his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine.  He completed a residency and internship in family practice at Womack Army Hospital in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Dr. Maury served in the United States Army from 1972-1986. He is a pilot and  enjoys flying in his spare time.

Dr. Maury speaks both English and Spanish.

Dr. Elena Shea

Dr. Shea obtained her Bachelor of Science in Bio-medical Science from Texas A&M University. She went on to the Texas Tech School of Medicine. Dr. Shea performed her Internship in Transitional Anesthesia at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. From there she went to the School of Natural Healing in Provo, Utah to receive a Masters in Herbology. Dr. Shea completed her residency right here in Lawton at the Southwest Oklahoma Family Practice Residency.

Dr. Shea says, “I have a passion for protecting our health as well as treating disease. Helping to tool my patients with the skills and knowledge to care for their health is one of my goals. I hope to promote that each individual gains understanding and some kind of control of their situation, while validating their unique situation.”

 

Dr. Padmashree Velury

Padmashree Velury, MDr. Veluny_croppedD, earned her medical degree from Andhra Medical College in India. She completed a family practice residency at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

She specializes in geriatric medicine, holding a special interest in critical care medicine. She also provides a weight loss program.

She is a member of the Oklahoma Medical Society, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Family Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Velury also volunteers for the Lawton Citizens for Economic Growth and belongs to the Lawton Business and Professional Women.

Dr. Velury and her husband Dr. Vijay Velury, who is a local interventional cardiologist, have lived in Lawton for several years. They have a daughter who is attending Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics.
